September 08 – International Literacy Day 2021
On September 8th International Literacy Day has been declared to raise awareness and care for literacy problems that which exist in our local society as well as universally. United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization or UNESCO in 1966 was founded International Literacy Day by passing the resolution to remind the people that Literacy has the same importance as human rights.
This day brings the open challenges of illiteracy and education to local society and that is the beginning of literacy, One person at a time. Since the first international literacy day more than fifty-year has passed, good progress has been recorded in world literacy rates. Then also global illiteracy problem will never end.
