24th July: NATIONAL COUSINS DAY
National Cousins Day on July 24th recognizes the lifelong relationships that grow among cousins. Our first friendships often form with cousins as young as infants and endure a lifetime.
Cousins share common memories through their grandparents, aunts, and uncles, regardless of whether they spent their childhoods in close-knit households or only see one another periodically. Cousins have fun together and get into trouble together at family gatherings. To their cousin’s chagrin, they celebrate birthdays and occasionally blow out each other’s candles. Cousins turn into a support system when their siblings annoy them. Particularly if they are young children, cousins might occasionally appear to be more like siblings.
National Cousins Day is an excellent opportunity to express your gratitude to all of your cousins. Cousins spend a lot of time together at family reunions, weddings, anniversaries, and a variety of other events. Celebrate the special bond you share with your favorite relatives. After all, they’ll be loyal friends for the rest of their lives.
