Onam is a popular festival of Kerala which is the southernmost state of India. According to the Malayalam calendar, it is observed on the month of Chingam, the day of Thiruvonam Nakshatram. This year it falls on 21 August 2021 and is marked as the return of King Mahabali and Lord Vishnu Avatar Vaman. The celebration of the Onam festival lasts for 10 days.
